How do you do a worldwide product launch for a niche industry such as the tattoo business? META approached us with just this task: introducing their premium, custom-built workstation for tattoo parlors – the first product in a range of many to come. And so we created a communication strategy that had 7 international artists promoting the product, displaying it as transformative for the process of the forward-thinking tattoo artist. We planned the way digital channels would be used – first and foremost by designing an engaging website that returned impressive results: 21000 page views from more than 115 countries in two weeks.
⮑ ● Visit website forgedbymeta.comThe website's first goal is to sell the product but with great focus on impacting the tattooist global tribe. It was built as an interactive experience where the product is explained, making it clear how easy it is to access and customize, all the while intertwining with top-class tattooist content. The brand, product, and online presence are still 100% Made in Portugal (that rectangle next to Spain). Presenting seven artists and their life stories, the Workstation section is the central piece of the website. The product is introduced and explained with dozens of videos segmented by feature, which the user explores on scroll.
Yep, of course. At every point of the website, the user can buy and customize the product with several accessories. The store flow suggests preferred configurations via a fast and simple process. Ireland, Romania, the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Spain are just a few of the places where the product is now being sent. Oh, and it’s a big boy, DHL loves to carry these to your door. You should try it.

The custom Meta Script we used on the website was designed on an iPad Pro + iPencil (now for sale) expressly for the brand. But we didn't actually use the iPencil. You see, it is kind of a pain to charge, so we just used our fingerprints to draw. Which ended up giving it the quirkiness and ink-buttery taste we were looking for. Delicious… we regret nothing. Nothing!
