The original website, also crafted by us, revolved around a single store seamlessly integrated into a detailed cityscape—a concept that stood strong and relevant for 13 years. For the new website, we aimed to preserve that legacy by illustrating a quintessential Portuguese city, showcasing the store within its façade. Architectural elements and a sense of familiarity were further emphasized with interactive audio elements—for instance, clicking on the bicycle triggers a sound sample and you have city birds chipping far away.
We extended this illustrative approach to include various vending machine configurations, culminating in the movable star module featured in a playful beach setting at the footer. This ties seamlessly into the brand’s 24-hour availability, highlighted by illustrations transitioning from day to night, a tribute to the original site’s dynamic sky variations.
And for a bit of fun? Clicking on the radio brings up a sonic surprise—Buraka Som Sistema. You’re welcome. Yes, we had some spare time on our hands… and still do, honestly. Why someone’s on the beach with their lights on? That remains one of Sesimbra’s eternal mysteries. It’s just that good.
Büro has assisted Grab&Go on two separate occasions. Initially, back in 2011 when we operated just two stores, they crafted a brand and website that has served us exceptionally well for over 13 years. More recently, they revamped our website now one of Europe's largest vending machine franchising business. While they may not be the cheapest option, their commitment to delivering exceptional work is truly inspiring.
