Keikku is the next-gen stethoscope empowering healthcare professionals with cutting-edge AI, delivering crystal-clear sound from the heart, lungs, and intestinal tract—medical superpowers in the palm of your hand. Whether used locally or remotely for telemedicine, it combines real-time patient monitoring with insights that surpass traditional auscultation.
With advanced signal processing and noise cancellation, Keikku redefines sound analysis for doctors, offering an unparalleled augmented experience. It’s more than a tool—it’s an out-of-the-box superpower for medical professionals.
Over the past year, we collaborated with Lapsi Health to build a transformative brand for Keikku, targeting the U.S. market. Our contributions included rebranding, packaging and product design, a cohesive design system, app UI/UX, and a livingly website to align with the brand’s innovative vision.
The Keikku website combines sleek design with user-centered functionality. Through an on-scroll narrative, it highlights the device’s compact size and cutting-edge features such as AI integration, active noise cancellation, and gesture control. Key elements include a WebGL-powered exploded view for exploring technical components and sound-reactive footer waves that hint at the brand’s dynamic identity.
Keikku’s design identity integrates sound waves in a whale-shaped waveform inspired by Keiko the Orca, reflecting both its innovative spirit and orca-like bezel. Its App UI/UX extends this ethos with intuitive floating containers, color-coded functionalities, and streamlined interfaces, ensuring efficient and seamless user interactions.

The Keikku website offers a polished, professional presentation centered around its flagship product: a next-generation smart, digital, and wireless stethoscope.
Through an engaging on-scroll narrative, the site reveals the product’s specifications and features while highlighting its compact size in relation to the hand, helping users visualize its scale. The visual identity underscores advanced functionalities like active noise cancellation, gesture control, and AI integration, with micro-interactions providing additional depth for curious visitors. A key feature of the Keikku website is the WebGL-powered exploded view, where users can explore the device’s components. This allows for a deeper understanding of the product’s technical details. Additionally, the footer features waves that react to sound, which is set to become a recognizable part of the brand’s visual language in the future.
User-friendly and focused on pre-orders for its early 2025 launch, the site effectively targets medical professionals, students, and telemedicine applications. Rebranding
The visual identity centers on sound waves, illustrated by a whale-shaped waveform that underscores the device’s adaptability to digital applications. Why a whale? Picture the ’90s classic Free Willy and its star, Keiko the Orca (‘lucky’ in Japanese). This clever yet meaningful design connects the Keikku brand to an iconic figure while echoing the device’s rounded, orca-like bezel. The playful reference to the word “Keikku,” which means toy in Finnish, emphasizes the product’s innovative and engaging nature—making it a new favorite “toy” for healthcare professionals. And as for us, we’ll gladly take those socks, please!
Brand System
The brand’s shape extends beyond the logo, becoming a versatile container for various uses across platforms—from the website to the app, and even in motion graphics such as carousels and loading animations. This dynamic element breathes life into the brand, creating a cohesive and unmistakably vibrant identity. Whether in digital interfaces or brand storytelling, the shape serves as a recognizable motif, bringing energy and continuity to every interaction. Keikku’s App UI/UX is designed to work seamlessly with its overall brand system, incorporating color-coded containers that align with specific symptoms and functions. These floating containers create a fluid and dynamic user experience, offering a unique interface that is intuitive yet highly functional. The simplified UI reduces complexity, allowing healthcare professionals to focus on their tasks with minimal distractions. This design is optimized for hands-on use, enhancing the data collection process while also providing strong support for device-independent screen interaction.
